Our History

Our History

Ebbets Field  Middle School is an international education center, founded in 2005 and located on the Jackie Robinson campus --the original and historic home of the Brooklyn Dodgers. A large number of our students are immigrants or children of immigrants. We are proud of this heritage and diversity.  All of our curricula, from mathematics to social studies, are infused with the arts.  Today, the school is embarking on an innovative approach to incorporate Art, Athletics, and technology into the heart of the school –the culture and curriculum.

We are a small community of learners where every teacher knows every student and every student has multiple opportunities to initiate and maintain strong friendships with their peers.

OUR Vision

OUR VISION

We envision a school that is collaboratively built by its staff; students, parents and community to ensure the success of every child. We envision a school where students’ and families’ academic and social and emotional needs are met, relationships are strong and cultures are not only affirmed but help inspire the growth of individuals and our community. If we work together with determination, perseverance and resilience, success is the only option.

OUR MISSION
there is a tradition at Yale University that prospective “yalies” should rub the toe of the Theodore Dwight Woolsey, class of 1820 and former president of Yale University, statue for luck.

OUR MISSION

The mission of Ebbets Field Middle School is to empower our students to become lifelong learners by instilling determination, perseverance, and resilience. The aspirations and interests of every child will be developed to create successful readers, writers, speakers and critical thinkers; so they make a positive impact in society. We enlist the support of families and the community to help us realize this mission.
