Ebbets Field was founded in 2005. We are part of the Jackie Robinson Campus and the Crown Heights Community. We are an educational community that is deeply committed to the idea that every child can hit a home run if the bat is wide enough. We have reorganized as a Community School and have forged amazing partnerships that can serve our students’ educational, health, social and emotional needs. Some of our partners include: The Door, a large and comprehensive social service agency offering services in education, entitlements, and immigration; Sports and Arts in Schools Foundation who provide us with a comprehensive after school and summer recreation and educational enrichment program, the Center for Supportive Schools which provides counseling and mentoring services to our students, Triad Services that provide our parents with extensive education and empowerment programs to help parents become active and informed partners in their children’s education, Brooklyn Community Foundation that provides a full time consultant and service manager to help us implement Restorative Circles and Lutheran Medical Center that will operate a dental clinic on site during the 2015-16 school year.
We believe a successful school is one that is collaboratively built by staff, students, parents and community. We will prepare students for success in high school, higher education and life. We will create an environment where children see themselves as successful and competent individuals. Everyone at Ebbets Field works to achieve this goal. We know and accept that everyone’s success is our success and anyone’s failure is our failure. If we are to succeed, nobody can fail! We will not rest until this vision is realized.
