At Ebbets Field Middle School, student academic success is partly attributed to programs that frame and augment the curriculum as well as extend learning beyond the classroom. Some programs are specific to a content-area while others are broad and technology-based.
In Social Studies the curriculum includes real-world connections through the program Generation Citizens, which mobilizes students around civics and political participation. In Science, we have the Urban Advantage program, which allows our students to conduct real scientific exploration at local zoos, aquariums, and museums.
Indeed, long before the term "Remote Learning" was a phrase in the grade school setting--(Pre-COVID-19), our students were collaborating and completing assignments using the Google Classroom platform as well as core Google Drive programs.
